Multicultural Health Initiatives

PROGRAM is guided by the community group called the Community Partners for Multicultural Health (CPMH) that is a local coalition of health, social service and newcomer organizations.
The Steering Committee meets by-monthly and includes the representatives from the following agencies: : AIDS Committee of Windsor, ALIVE Canada, BANA, CMHA-City Centre Health Care, Windsor Essex Community Health Centre, Windsor’s YMCA of Western Ontario, Windsor- Essex County Health Unit and Multicultural Council of Windsor and Essex County.

OBJECTIVES of the Program:

  • To reduce barriers and improve access to health services for immigrants and,
  • To promote good health and wellbeing for all newcomers and immigrants within diverse ethno-cultural communities in Windsor-Essex.
