Job Club

  • Job Club is geared to assist Social Service Recipients with finding gainful employment
  • To increase the clients´ employability skills by promoting self-reliance, enhance self-esteem and increase knowledge, and skills of clients
  • To assists clients accessing community agencies and by providing information and referrals

Funding

The Job Club is funded through City of Windsor, Social Services Department

Eligibility

Individuals who are in receipt of Social Services are eligible for services offered through the Job Club

The Program

Job Club provides individuals with the tools they need to be successful in finding gainful employment:

  • How to cope with unemployment or being underemployed
  • Facilitation of the employment process by providing newcomers and immigrants with career development, job search techniques, training information, resources and job leads
  • Providing referrals to other community service providers as per mutual agreement with Social Assistance Case Worker.

Registration

To register, a referral must be faxed from a Social Service Case Worker to the Multicultural Council and an appointment will be scheduled to enroll the individual in Job Club.

The office is open 9am to 5pm Monday through Thursday and Fridays 9am to 4pm.
