REPORTS TO:               CSS Manager 
HOURS:                        40 hours/week
SALARY:                       $ 32.29 per/hour
TERM:                           September 15, 2025 – March 31, 2026

POSITION SUMMARY
The Multicultural Council of Windsor & Essex County (MCC) is seeking a dedicated Client Support Services (CSS) Case Manager to join our team. In alignment with MCC’s mission and vision, the Case Manager will provide comprehensive case management services under the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) funded CSS program. This role focuses on supporting immigrants and refugees through assessments, client navigation, individualized settlement planning, referrals, community connections, and well-being supports to facilitate successful adaptation to life in Canada.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Post-secondary degree in Social Work (or related field) with a minimum of one year of relevant experience.

  • In-depth knowledge of issues affecting diverse populations, including immigrants and refugees.
  • Familiarity with local agencies serving newcomers, their programs, and available community resources.
  • Demonstrated experience in case management, including needs assessments, settlement planning, service coordination, progress monitoring, and file closure.
  • Proven ability to navigate health, mental health, and other community-based services.
  • Commitment to providing safe, effective, equitable, and client-centered care.
  • Experience building strong partnerships with community groups, service providers, and key stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, administrative, planning, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • High level of digital literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to travel to off-site locations; valid driver’s license required if travel is by vehicle.
  • Flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends as required.
  • Fluency in an additional language is an asset (languages of interest: Farsi, Dari, Arabic, Spanish).
  • Valid vulnerable sector police clearance required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Services

  • Conduct client assessments in accordance with the IRCC Case Management Framework.
  • Deliver individualized case management, including navigation, coordination, and settlement planning to support clients’ short, medium, and long-term goals.
  • Provide orientation to Canadian systems and services, offering direct accompaniment to appointments when necessary.
  • Facilitate timely referrals to settlement and community-based services; follow up to ensure client access and service continuity.
  • Support clients with health and mental health navigation, including resource sharing and service coordination.
  • Deliver Adapting to Life in Canada life skills sessions to enhance clients’ independence and community integration.
  • Ensure all services are culturally sensitive, gender responsive, and client-centered.

Community Engagement & Capacity Building

  • Strengthen community partnerships to expand newcomer access to supports.
  • Participate in community meetings and capacity-building initiatives to address emerging needs.
  • Collaborate with MCC teams through inter-program case conferencing as required.

Program Administration

  • Maintain accurate client files, documentation, and statistical records in line with program requirements.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and service quality.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports, including monthly updates, to the supervisor.
  • Keep supervisors informed of program issues, challenges, and progress.
  • Participate in team, program, and organizational meetings, as well as professional development opportunities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
